Seating: 1050, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Khalida Hamid Brahima took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anthar Reda Madouni during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Redha Madouni fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mahtomedi AFC's protests and gave Redha Madouni a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th match minute, Mahtomedi AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Redha Madouni to maneuver through the defense. Rabah Bouteflika sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Chennai Super Kings's Rabah Bouteflika got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Mustapha Benhabiles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chennai Super Kings's supporters rose to their feet, but Mustapha Benhabiles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zoheir Larfaoui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute Khalida Hamid Brahima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samir Hanin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zoheir Larfaoui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthar Reda Madouni in the 15th minute of play. Samir Hanin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khalida Hamid Brahima, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Anthar Reda Madouni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rabah Bouteflika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zoheir Larfaoui having to interfere. Zoheir Larfaoui was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Boughera Benaouf showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. Boughera Benaouf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Zoheir Larfaoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Boughera Benaouf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mahtomedi AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Anthar Reda Madouni scored to the left of an out of position Zoheir Larfaoui, making the score, 2-0. Zoheir Larfaoui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthar Reda Madouni, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anthar Reda Madouni to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Mahtomedi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Madhi Ziani. Mustapha Benhabiles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute, Rabah Bouteflika got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Mustapha Benhabiles came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Chennai Super Kings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustapha Benhabiles couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Mahtomedi AFC booed when Chennai Super Kings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boubekeur Haddou didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Rabah Bouteflika got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zoheir Larfaoui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anthar Reda Madouni's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute, Mustapha Benhabiles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chennai Super Kings fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Anthar Reda Madouni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Zoheir Larfaoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chennai Super Kings's Boughera Benaouf got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 72 minutes of play, Chennai Super Kings's Mehdi Akrour made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zoheir Larfaoui was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mustapha Benhabiles took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zoheir Larfaoui. Zoheir Larfaoui dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Boughera Benaouf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mahtomedi AFC's zone, Boubekeur Haddou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zoheir Larfaoui came out of the goal and Boubekeur Haddou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mustapha Benhabiles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zoheir Larfaoui having to interfere. Anthar Reda Madouni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Zoheir Larfaoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Chennai Super Kings's Anthar Reda Madouni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zoheir Larfaoui made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Boughera Benaouf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zoheir Larfaoui having to interfere. Khalida Hamid Brahima hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Chennai Super Kings's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
