The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ismaël Taha during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th minute, one of Des Plaines FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Des Plaines FC. In the 15th minute Fathi Amsallem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Saïd-Guerni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmed Saïd-Guerni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fathi Amsallem went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. El Raï was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Salah Saadane capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Salah Saadane really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Des Plaines FC's El Raï played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salah Saadane in the 33rd minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Des Plaines FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rachid Mezdad to maneuver through the defense. Ahmed Saïd-Guerni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelnacer Mezair, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. El Raï made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mohammad Kaci Taha in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abdelnacer Mezair made a kick off. Ahmed Saïd-Guerni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelnacer Mezair in the 54th minute of play. Fathi Amsallem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Saïd-Guerni having to interfere. Ahmed Saïd-Guerni acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 58th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Djamel Fanon. Rafik Zoheir Fellahi hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Salah Saadane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without El Raï having to interfere. The supporters of Des Plaines FC booed when Jourdanton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Baptiste Djamel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdelnacer Mezair in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ahmed Saïd-Guerni, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg Ahmed Saïd-Guerni managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Des Plaines FC's Fathi Amsallem fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. El Raï made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salah Saadane in the 86th minute of play. El Raï took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammad Kaci Taha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salah Saadane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mohammad Kaci Taha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Jourdanton players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
