The supporters of Piqua booed when Whitemarsh Island was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faouzi Djebbour didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adlène Said made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdel Karim Barbarossa in the 25th minute of play. Abdelhamid Abrika struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Adlène Said didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piqua. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdel Karim Barbarossa in the 34th minute of play forced Whitemarsh Island's goalkeeper Adlène Said to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Abdel Karim Barbarossa made a precise shot to the right of Adlène Said. Whitemarsh Island's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Abdelhamid Abrika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adlène Said having to interfere. Abdel Karim Barbarossa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Muhammad Brahimi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Faouzi Djebbour ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Djabir Bensaoula was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Abdel Karim Barbarossa took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adlène Said. Adlène Said dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 71st minute Mustapha Merah-Benida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Djabir Bensaoula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Abdel Karim Barbarossa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abdelhamid Abrika sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Piqua getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Nourredine Bouzid hit a great ball. Piqua's Abdelhamid Abrika got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Muhammad Brahimi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djabir Bensaoula having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustapha Merah-Benida in the 93rd minute of play forced Piqua's goalkeeper Djabir Bensaoula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
