Abdelhamid Massi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cheb el Ibrahimi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fawzi Bencheikh having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Old Tappan's Abdelhamid Massi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sid Kourichi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mouloud Medaci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Sid Kourichi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Red Oak got a freekick which was hit by Mebarek Baroudi. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Abdelhamid Massi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Abdelhamid Massi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Sid Kourichi made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, Abdelhamid Massi notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Red Oak's Sid Kourichi. Sid Kourichi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 46th match minute, Old Tappan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Slimane Amara to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mouloud Medaci was the one to do the kick off.
