Sabers's Albert Mezdad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Youssef Djebar in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Sabers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustapha Mesbah to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Sabers's goal looked a bit too open when Fadhil Yacef came free, but Albert Mezdad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hocine Madouni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alain Messaoud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hocine Madouni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alain Messaoud having to interfere. In the 37th minute Fadhil Yacef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Mezdad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, one of Eastgate FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee felt a red card was in order, 44 minutes into the game, when Nouredine Bentifour put in a rough tackle. Nouredine Bentifour hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fadhil Yacef was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Sabers's Hocine Madouni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alain Messaoud made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Albert Mezdad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fadhil Yacef, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, Sabers's Mahieddine Assad got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute Fadhil Yacef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Mezdad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Eastgate FC's zone, Hocine Madouni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alain Messaoud came out of the goal and Hocine Madouni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Hocine Madouni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Fadhil Yacef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
