He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in North Arlington FC reached it. If Mehdi Meniri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Velez Sarsfield defense, Mohamed Ben Ahmed Zitouni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antoine Zidane. The Velez Sarsfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antoine Zidane should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Abd el Fergani hit a great ball. Rafik Timsit didn't quite understand what happened when in the 97 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The Velez Sarsfield supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching North Arlington FC's performance. The match ended with a win for North Arlington FC.
