The supporters of Kaufman booed when Lokomotiv Moskva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rachid Kraouche didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sid Ziani in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mohammad Zidān saved Lokomotiv Moskva from getting behind. In the 27th minute of the match Mustapha Kermali shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mohammad Zidān showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sid Ziani might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mohammad Zidān. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sid Ziani ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 31st minute, Ahmed Benhamou made a precise shot to the right of Mohammad Zidān. Lokomotiv Moskva's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Kaufman's Ahmed Benhamou got a free kick in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamid Schoonmaker in the 35th minute of play forced Kaufman's goalkeeper Ahmed Lacarne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Mohamed Saïd-Guerni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mohammad Zidān was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Mohamed Saïd-Guerni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kaufman's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohamed Saïd-Guerni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohammad Zidān breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the match, Sid Ziani had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mohammad Zidān. Lokomotiv Moskva's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sid Ziani was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After the first half Kaufman were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamid Schoonmaker in the 57th minute of play forced Kaufman's goalkeeper Ahmed Lacarne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Madjid Djaout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Lacarne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lokomotiv Moskva's Madjid Djaout got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Madjid Djaout recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 played minutes Kaufman got a freekick which was hit by Hamid Matoub. After a defensive mix-up in Kaufman's zone, Madjid Djaout stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmed Lacarne came out of the goal and Madjid Djaout tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kaufman's Ahmed Lacarne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamid Schoonmaker in the 69th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Madjid Djaout in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmed Lacarne saved Kaufman from getting behind. Sid Ziani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Mohammad Zidān made a huge save. 74 minutes into the game, Hamid Schoonmaker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Ahmed Lacarne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. François Zitouni kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Sid Ziani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mohamed Saïd-Guerni in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mohammad Zidān prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th match minute, Lokomotiv Moskva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamid Schoonmaker to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sid Ziani got free with Mohammad Zidān in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Madjid Djaout in the 94th minute of play forced Kaufman's goalkeeper Ahmed Lacarne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Lokomotiv Moskva supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kaufman's performance. The match ended with a win for Kaufman.
