Karim Ali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Karim Ramdani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samir Boukensa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelhani Apap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Karim Ali shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karim Ramdani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Purvis's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Toufik Maillot in the 26th minute. A nice corner shot did that Toufik Maillot got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Karim Ramdani quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Karim Belfaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Karim Ramdani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karim Ali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelhani Apap in the 40th minute of play forced Purvis's goalkeeper Samir Boukensa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdulhamid Benchenaa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Nadir Abdi might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samir Boukensa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nadir Abdi ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abdelhani Apap was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Purvis getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Rabah Saïfi hit a great ball. Samir Boukensa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nadir Abdi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Saugus FC booed when Purvis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdulhamid Benchenaa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tayeb Ziani, 61 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Abdelhani Apap sped through Purvis's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Samir Boukensa. Karim Belfaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karim Ramdani having to interfere. Abdelnasser Feraoun hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After having played for 97 minutes, Karim Belfaa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Purvis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karim Belfaa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Purvis's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
