The corner led Aberdeen's Fodil Ihidjaten to fire away a dangerous shot which Mahmoud Mansouri despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Djamel Tlemcani to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Mustapha Boulmerka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aberdeen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tullahoma the free kick. A collision led to Aberdeen getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Djamel Tlemcani scored 4-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mahmoud Mansouri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tullahoma's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
