Winchester AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rachid Zafour might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abdelkader Bensaoula. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rachid Zafour ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Dadeville FC's Abdelkader Bensaoula threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rachid Zafour, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some careless play in the Dadeville FC defense, Hamid Chaouchi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rachid Bridji. The Dadeville FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rachid Bridji should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Khalida Banouas fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Winchester AFC's protests and gave Khalida Banouas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Dadeville FC booed when Winchester AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Khalida Banouas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Karim Djebbour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Winchester AFC's zone, Karim Djebbour stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelkader Bensaoula came out of the goal and Karim Djebbour tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karim El-Hadi charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karim El-Hadi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dadeville FC's Armando Reis was substituted for Nordine Bezzaz. After a rather tough play, Winchester AFC's Karim El-Hadi got a free kick in the 97th minute. Although Dadeville FC had been in control for most of the match, Winchester AFC still came away with the win.
