Chakib Belhadj recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nordine Dziri hit a great ball. Bellemou Yacine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chakib Belhadj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The attack was good, but when Chakib Belhadj in the 34th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Assia Raï recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Assia Raï in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bellemou Yacine prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Bismarck getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Mohamed Amrouche hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Cherif Amara hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. If Cherif Amara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cherif Amara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bouzid Mimoun having to make a save. Surprise's Bouzid Mimoun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noureddine Belkacem in the 59th minute of play. Bouzid Mimoun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cherif Amara, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 67th minute, Cherif Amara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Chakib Belhadj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cherif Amara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bouzid Mimoun having to interfere. If Cherif Amara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
