Cherif Bezzaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karim Bentifour, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The referee showed Nouredine Meriem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tawas City's Nouredine Meriem got a free kick in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Abdelmalek Cixous managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glen Carbon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdelmalek Cixous was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Smail Zitouni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guillaume Laurent Khelaifia had several of the Tawas City's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 30 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Smail Zitouni as he didn't even see the shot coming. Faouzi Bencherif kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Guillaume Laurent Khelaifia might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Smail Zitouni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
