After taking down the ball on Hokendauqua FC's corner Said Cohen-Tannoudji fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Faouzi Meriem quite easily take care of the ball. Faouzi Meriem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chaba Djeballi in the 12th minute of the match. Tayeb Benida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lili Bouchemla in the 15th minute of play. Cherif Boulmerka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Tayeb Benida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rachid Timsit fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hokendauqua FC's protests and gave Rachid Timsit a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hokendauqua FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Rachid Timsit hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Chaba Djeballi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chaba Djeballi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faouzi Meriem having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, one of Hokendauqua FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 45 minutes Hokendauqua FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fadel Assad who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Steubenville's corner Cherif Boulmerka fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tayeb Benida quite easily take care of the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Steubenville's goalkeeper Faouzi Meriem had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rabah Khadra. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chaba Djeballi was the one to do the kick off. Faouzi Meriem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chaba Djeballi, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Steubenville's Cherif Boulmerka slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tayeb Benida. That made the score 0-1 after 58 minutes of play. With a little luck, Hokendauqua FC's Tayeb Benida got control of the ball when Lili Bouchemla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rabah Khadra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Faouzi Meriem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tayeb Benida was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Hokendauqua FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Steubenville's performance. The match ended with a win for Steubenville.
