The tension between the Santa Fe FC and the New Madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. Knodi Zéroual hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. If Salah Kafi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Ahmed Djamel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Salah Kafi in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hemza Gallaire prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafik Raï in the 25th minute of play forced New Madrid's goalkeeper Rabah Zenia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rabah Zenia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafik Raï, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Santa Fe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmed Djamel came free, but Hemza Gallaire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Hakim El Ouafi notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of New Madrid's Rabah Zenia. Rabah Zenia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Rafik Raï had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmed Djamel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 1-1 became the score in the 53rd minute when Ahmed Djamel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Rafik Raï made a precise shot to the right of Rabah Zenia. New Madrid's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 62 played minutes Santa Fe FC got a freekick which was hit by Rabah Boufroura. Hakim El Ouafi kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Rafik Raï got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Safy Bessou kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Santa Fe FC's goalkeeper Hemza Gallaire had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salah Kafi. Hakim El Ouafi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rabah Zenia having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Rabah Boufroura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Fe FC's zone, Salah Kafi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hemza Gallaire came out of the goal and Salah Kafi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hakim El Ouafi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Safy Bessou hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Santa Fe FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
