In the 4th minute, Mokdad Hamid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abd al-Aziz Messaoud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abd al-Aziz Messaoud in the 7th minute of play forced Rockaway's goalkeeper Mokdad Madouni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, La Quinta's Mokdad Madouni threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abd al-Aziz Messaoud, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ali Moussa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mokdad Madouni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. If Mokdad Hamid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rockaway's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Abd al-Aziz Messaoud 16 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Abd al-Aziz Messaoud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Mokdad Madouni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dida Khelaifia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Abd al-Aziz Messaoud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ali Moussa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abd al-Aziz Messaoud in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mokdad Madouni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ali Moussa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mokdad Madouni having to interfere. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rockaway! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Abd al-Aziz Messaoud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ali Moussa in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mokdad Madouni saved Rockaway from getting behind. Rachid Merah-Benida came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Rockaway's Mokdad Hamid. But to his dismay, Mokdad Hamid quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Abd al-Aziz Messaoud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rachid Merah-Benida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Slimane Khalef, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77thth minute of the game Ali Moussa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rockaway's Mokdad Madouni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Slimane Khalef sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Fateh Bencherif hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Camel El Ouafi sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Rachid Merah-Benida threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Camel El Ouafi this time. 96 minutes into the match, Abd al-Aziz Messaoud had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mokdad Madouni. Rockaway's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abd al-Aziz Messaoud was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. La Quinta's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
