Rachid Al-Jazairia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mouloud Cavalli made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Reda Lamine sent off a good shot on target. If Camel Sennaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Reda Lamine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th match minute, Stephenville AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samir Ouadah to maneuver through the defense. The Clute AFC fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Clute AFC's Edmond Bey looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Hameur Meniri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th match minute, Clute AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hameur Belloumi to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the game, Reda Lamine cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Mouloud Cavalli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stephenville AFC's Camel Sennaoui got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Clute AFC booed when Stephenville AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samir Ouadah didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Stephenville AFC's zone, Edmond Bey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rachid Al-Jazairia came out of the goal and Edmond Bey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camel Sennaoui might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mouloud Cavalli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Camel Sennaoui ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute, Stephenville AFC's Camel Sennaoui fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Mouloud Cavalli was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Edmond Bey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Reda Lamine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stephenville AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reda Lamine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mouloud Cavalli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mohammed Mekhloufi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edmond Bey hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Stephenville AFC's Reda Lamine got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reda Lamine in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mouloud Cavalli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Camel Sennaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camel Sennaoui in the 81st minute of play forced Clute AFC's goalkeeper Mouloud Cavalli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mouloud Cavalli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reda Lamine in the 88th minute of play. After some careless play in the Clute AFC defense, Camel Sennaoui kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mouloud Cavalli. The Clute AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mouloud Cavalli should have stopped the shot. Stephenville AFC's Rachid Al-Jazairia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Stephenville AFC from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Stephenville AFC had won after a very even match.
