The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Trevorton FC's Khair ad-Din Makkeb got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albert Hindi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelhamid Fadela in the 6th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Khair ad-Din Makkeb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albert Hindi was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. A hard shot by Rafik Boufroura from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Albert Hindi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Khair ad-Din Makkeb put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Albert Hindi. The Carleton fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Carleton's Yazid Fanon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Rachid Mammeri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Carleton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albert Hindi should have stopped the shot. If Khair ad-Din Makkeb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Khair ad-Din Makkeb fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Albert Hindi, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 43 minutes, Khair ad-Din Makkeb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trevorton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Khair ad-Din Makkeb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th match minute, Carleton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kamel Guendouz to maneuver through the defense. Khair ad-Din Makkeb struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Trevorton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rachid Mammeri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Hindi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rachid Mammeri in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Hindi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yazid Fanon in the 93rd minute of play forced Trevorton FC's goalkeeper Farès Bougherra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
