In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newcomerstown AFC's goalkeeper Tayeb Liegeon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. During the 20th minute of the match Khalida Dahar completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Khalida Dahar a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 21st minute, Khalida Dahar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tayeb Liegeon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismaël Dib, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Rabah Amri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayeb Liegeon having to interfere. Tayeb Liegeon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismaël Dib's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Ismaël Dib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ismaël Dib made a kick off. Tayeb Liegeon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rabah Amri in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Newcomerstown AFC's Nadir Raï sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mohamed Belloumi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rabah Djahnine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 77 minutes of play, Soda Springs's Rabah Amri made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tayeb Liegeon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rabah Amri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Tayeb Liegeon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Ismaël Dib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismaël Dib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After recieving a nice pass, Newcomerstown AFC's Rabah Djahnine tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Rabah Amri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Soda Springs walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
