Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mount Sterling FC's Hocine Djura started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rachid Boulmerka was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hocine Djura showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Charles Merah-Benida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Hocine Djura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karim Boukensa in the 13th minute of play forced Mount Sterling FC's goalkeeper Hachemi Hanister to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mount Sterling FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Salim Khelaifia was slow to take the kick. During this time Lago Vista AFC's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Mount Sterling FC booed when Lago Vista AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustapha Semghoun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hachemi Hanister didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karim Boukensa went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Lago Vista AFC's Khalida Zakaria got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karim Boukensa to strike the kick off in the second half. Khalida Zakaria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Hachemi Hanister made a huge save. Charles Merah-Benida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karim Boukensa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the game, Abdelmalek Abbas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mount Sterling FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lago Vista AFC the free kick. A collision led to Mount Sterling FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Abdelmalek Abbas hit a great ball. After 74 minutes, Rachid Ali mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lago Vista AFC and the Mount Sterling FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Mount Sterling FC a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Yahia Bouzid, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lago Vista AFC's Rachid Boulmerka. 2-2. Lago Vista AFC's Rachid Boulmerka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Merah-Benida in the 84th minute of play. If Hocine Djura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mount Sterling FC's Charles Merah-Benida got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rachid Boulmerka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hocine Djura in the 92nd minute of the match. When Mohamed Abdi fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lago Vista AFC's protests and gave Mohamed Abdi a yellow card for diving instead.
