Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rachid Harkouk took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Rachid Harkouk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdellah Saïdi-Sief took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rabah Fergani. Edwardsville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rachid Harkouk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Rabah Fergani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15thth minute of the game Abdelhani Ahmed who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Van Buren's Hamid Karim Belkassem was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Van Buren's Rabah Mamouni got a free kick in the 19th minute. Mounir Raï was extremely unlucky when he, in the 22nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Meziane Louahla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamid Karim Belkassem having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Van Buren's Zīn ud-Dīn Merzekane nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rabah Fergani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Meziane Louahla in the 33rd minute of play forced Van Buren's goalkeeper Hamid Karim Belkassem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rabah Fergani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zīn ud-Dīn Merzekane, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When Van Buren's Rachid Harkouk in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Edwardsville's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Edwardsville defense, Zīn ud-Dīn Merzekane kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rabah Fergani. The Edwardsville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rabah Fergani should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Meziane Louahla made the kick off in the second half. Zīn ud-Dīn Merzekane's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Rabah Fergani skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Rachid Harkouk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rachid Harkouk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Meziane Louahla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edwardsville's supporters rose to their feet, but Meziane Louahla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamid Karim Belkassem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mounir Raï sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salah Zafour charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salah Zafour the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes Edwardsville got a freekick which was hit by Salah Zafour. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rachid Harkouk in the 85th minute of play forced Edwardsville's goalkeeper Rabah Fergani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdelkader Raho charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdelkader Raho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, Abdelkader Raho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mounir Raï had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute.
