In the 10th match minute, Las Vegas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mansour Nasri to maneuver through the defense. Las Vegas FC's Karim Guendouz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tedj Achiu in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Las Vegas FC booed when Wilmington Island was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nadir Brahimi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Adlène Benbitour sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Wilmington Island's Milosz Pyrtek didn't even have to move. Tedj Achiu scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karim Guendouz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fodil Belkheir struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Milosz Pyrtek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Las Vegas FC. A collision led to Wilmington Island getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Mustapha Benbitour hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Karim Guendouz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tedj Achiu's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Fawzi Boulmerka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fawzi Boulmerka came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Karim Guendouz could save by the left post. Jean-Baptiste Mammeri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tedj Achiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Mehdi Al-Jazairia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Wilmington Island's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Baptiste Mammeri came free, but Milosz Pyrtek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmed Meniri during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wilmington Island fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! After 84 played minutes Las Vegas FC got a freekick which was hit by Nordine Mesbah. Fawzi Boulmerka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Karim Guendouz made a huge save. Fawzi Boulmerka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karim Guendouz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tedj Achiu in the 88th minute of the match. Fodil Kheyari's late challenge caught a Wilmington Island's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fodil Kheyari helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Las Vegas FC's Fodil Kheyari got a free kick in the 91st minute. 97 minutes into the game, Mustapha Benbitour was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wilmington Island's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Las Vegas FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of Wilmington Island:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Las Vegas FC:s goal.
