After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rabah Said to strike the kick off in the second half. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fodil Sofiane in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abdel Karim Bencherif, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fodil Sofiane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdel Karim Bencherif having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Shamrock AFC's zone, Tedj Mehenni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yazid Doutté came out of the goal and Tedj Mehenni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yazid Doutté made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tedj Mehenni in the 73rd minute of play. In the 77th minute, Kermit FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fodil Sofiane fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Abdel Karim Bencherif showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rabah Said, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. When Fodil Sofiane came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Shamrock AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fodil Sofiane couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Kermit FC's zone, Fodil Sofiane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdel Karim Bencherif came out of the goal and Fodil Sofiane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fodil Sofiane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 92 minutes, Rabah Said managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shamrock AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rabah Said was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
