Pearland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fateh Cherrad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Souad Harkat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fateh Cherrad fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pearland's protests and gave Fateh Cherrad a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pearland getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Fateh Cherrad hit a great ball. Maamar Boudiaf kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Nouredine Hanin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rabah Kafi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Tedj Rahouli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fateh Cherrad, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. If Fateh Cherrad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pearland's Lili Firoud got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lili Firoud in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tedj Rahouli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. West Elmira FC's Tedj Rahouli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fateh Cherrad in the 87th minute of play. When Lili Firoud came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Pearland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lili Firoud couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Smail Fari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Pearland players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
