Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cheb Allalou got the match started through his kick off. Faouzi Menguellet struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Fawzi Mezdad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sodus FC. In the 4th minute, Cheb Allalou fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Abdelkader Benhamou, passed just outside the right post. Faouzi Menguellet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fawzi Mezdad having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chakib Lacen in the 10th minute of play forced Curwensville's goalkeeper Fawzi Mezdad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Curwensville getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Mourad Lacen hit a great ball. Sodus FC's Abdelkader Benhamou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Sodus FC from getting a goal against them. Abdelkader Benhamou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cheb Allalou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Cheb Allalou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelkader Benhamou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Rachid Boulebda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Cheb Allalou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelkader Benhamou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faouzi Menguellet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Faouzi Menguellet scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fawzi Mezdad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Curwensville's Cheb Allalou slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abdelkader Benhamou. That made the score 1-2 after 44 minutes of play. If Adlène Rimitti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Curwensville players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sodus FC were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chakib Lacen to make the kick off. Chakib Lacen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Fawzi Mezdad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sodus FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! Abdelkader Benhamou went to the wrong direction when Gilles Touhami was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Abdelkader Benhamou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdel Mansouri in the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Curwensville's Adlène Rimitti got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th match minute, Sodus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdelhamid Yacef to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Faouzi Menguellet reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fawzi Mezdad. The goal made the score 1-3. Mourad Lacen kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Adlène Rimitti put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Abdelkader Benhamou. Faouzi Menguellet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faouzi Menguellet charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faouzi Menguellet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute, Adlène Rimitti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Curwensville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. 95 minutes into the game, Sodus FC's Mouloud el Ibrahimi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fawzi Mezdad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. Sodus FC played a much better game than Curwensville and deserved their victory. The Curwensville players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
