Luis Islas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karim Belkacem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karim Belkacem took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luis Islas. Luis Islas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Zoheir Macias successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 15 minutes into the game, Nabil Zerguelaine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. West Bradenton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gig Harbor the free kick. 14 minutes into the game, one of West Bradenton:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 16th minute there was a penalty for Gig Harbor. Karim Belkacem stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luis Islas. 0-2. When Norbert Gomolka came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the West Bradenton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norbert Gomolka couldn't finish the play. Zoheir Macias made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Norbert Gomolka sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Gig Harbor getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Mohammed Ahmed Saïfi hit a great ball. If Rachid Matoub had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Norbert Gomolka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zoheir Macias. Gig Harbor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norbert Gomolka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Hocine Kheyari might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luis Islas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hocine Kheyari ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Djamel Mammeri during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Djamel Mammeri kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Nabil Zerguelaine succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 45th playminute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norbert Gomolka was the one to do the kick off. If Rachid Matoub had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Norbert Gomolka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoheir Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zoheir Macias came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by West Bradenton's Norbert Gomolka. But to his dismay, Norbert Gomolka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. In the 59th minute, Noureddine Karim Belkassem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Islas had great luck who in the 61stth minute grab hold of the ball when Youssef Sadi from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Zoheir Macias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Gomolka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karim Belkacem received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luis Islas came out and tried to block the shot, but Karim Belkacem slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute, Hocine Kheyari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Rachid Matoub managed to get in a good position for a shot. West Bradenton's supporters rose to their feet, but Rachid Matoub was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zoheir Macias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 70 played minutes West Bradenton got a freekick which was hit by Noureddine Karim Belkassem. Zoheir Macias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rachid Matoub, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Hocine Kheyari hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. West Bradenton's Norbert Gomolka got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nabil Zerguelaine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zoheir Macias having to interfere. With a little luck, West Bradenton's Luis Islas got control of the ball when Hocine Kheyari tried to sneak it across the goal line. Youssef Sadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Luis Islas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 89 minutes, Norbert Gomolka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Bradenton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norbert Gomolka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute Norbert Gomolka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoheir Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of Gig Harbor were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant West Bradenton side.
