In the 3rd minute, Yani Vitkin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New Ellenton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Djamel Boulmerka got free with Nordine Zidane in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of New Ellenton booed when Inter de Quito F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lakhdar Larbes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, New Ellenton's Yani Vitkin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guillaume Laurent Malek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 14 played minutes Inter de Quito F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lakhdar Larbes. In the 16thth minute of the game Pompiliu Stoican who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter de Quito F.C.'s Guillaume Laurent Malek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute, Tarkan Türksan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inter de Quito F.C.'s Cheb Zakaria got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The throw-in from Chadli Karim Belkassem in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by New Ellenton's Tarkan Türksan. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pompiliu Stoican in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guillaume Laurent Malek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hameur Bilal hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. New Ellenton's Rabah Fahima got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half New Ellenton were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cheb Zakaria was the one to do the kick off. If Djamel Boulmerka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cheb Zakaria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Nordine Zidane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Stoican in the 64th minute of play forced Inter de Quito F.C.'s goalkeeper Guillaume Laurent Malek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillaume Laurent Malek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rabah Fahima went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Pompiliu Stoican received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guillaume Laurent Malek came out and tried to block the shot, but Pompiliu Stoican slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 71st minute. Rabah Fahima struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Guillaume Laurent Malek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Ellenton. Lakhdar Larbes kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. New Ellenton's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rabah Fahima in the 81st minute. Rabah Fahima made a great header on New Ellenton's corner, it was just that Inter de Quito F.C.'s Guillaume Laurent Malek managed to reach the ball for a save. Inter de Quito F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Pompiliu Stoican scored to the left of an out of position Guillaume Laurent Malek, making the score, 0-5. After 89 played minutes New Ellenton got a freekick which was hit by Hameur Bilal. The Inter de Quito F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. New Ellenton were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
