After 13 minutes of play Belleair AFC's Souad Merbah was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Souad Merbah kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yazid Ramdani in the 18th minute of play forced Inter de Quito F.C.'s goalkeeper Guillaume Laurent Malek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chih Mimoun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Belleair AFC's Rachid Oussalah got control of the ball when Djamel Boulmerka tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match Zīn ud-Dīn Mansouri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rachid Oussalah skillfully saved the ball. Rachid Oussalah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cheb Zakaria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rachid Oussalah made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chih Mimoun in the 31st minute. Chih Mimoun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Rachid Oussalah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Chih Mimoun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Cheb Zakaria sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Belleair AFC's Rachid Oussalah didn't even have to move. After 39 played minutes Belleair AFC got a freekick which was hit by Noureddine Zarabi. The long shot by Cheb Zakaria in the 39th minute really tested Rachid Oussalah's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Noureddine Zarabi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillaume Laurent Malek having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yazid Ramdani to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Inter de Quito F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Zīn ud-Dīn Mansouri. Chih Mimoun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rachid Oussalah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee ignored Belleair AFC's protests and gave Ahmed Abdenouz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Ahmed Abdenouz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lakhdar Larbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cheb Ahmed charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cheb Ahmed the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Inter de Quito F.C. booed when Belleair AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cheb Ahmed didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Chih Mimoun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes Belleair AFC got a freekick which was hit by Noureddine Zarabi. If Yazid Ramdani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 86 minutes, Yazid Ramdani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belleair AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yazid Ramdani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guillaume Laurent Malek made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Yazid Ramdani sent off a good shot on target. After 93 minutes, Cheb Zakaria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter de Quito F.C. and the Belleair AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
