In the 8th match minute, New Egypt AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Abancens to maneuver through the defense. If Abdelhamid Nima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Khaled charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ali Khaled the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ali Khaled hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Anchorville defense, Florentino Abancens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kamel Boutabout. The Anchorville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kamel Boutabout should have stopped the shot. Nadir Kerkar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chakib El-Hadi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Florentino Abancens struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Kamel Boutabout didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Egypt AFC. Florentino Abancens scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kamel Boutabout, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32ndth minute of the game Abdelhamid Nima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Egypt AFC's Chakib El-Hadi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benamar Boumedienne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamel Boutabout having to interfere. If Ali Khaled had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Anchorville players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. New Egypt AFC were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florentino Abancens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nadir Kerkar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Chakib El-Hadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Florentino Abancens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute of the match, Mansour Toumi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kamel Boutabout saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mansour Toumi in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kamel Boutabout prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute, Florentino Abancens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Anchorville's zone, Amar Medaci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kamel Boutabout came out of the goal and Amar Medaci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nadir Kerkar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Florentino Abancens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. New Egypt AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
