Spectators: 8273 (Terracing: 6329, Seating: 1940, VIP seats: 4) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lili Mazzid kicked off to start the match. Zdzislaw Bartoszek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Khalida Rimitti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Fouad Benflis fired a really elegant long shot, but Rachid Cherrad threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Progress's Rachid Cherrad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Progress from getting a goal against them. Juninho Peixoto took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rachid Cherrad. Rachid Cherrad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Fuat Gök received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Rachid Cherrad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Yusuf Okcun reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rachid Cherrad. The goal made the score 3-0. Juninho Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Cherrad having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, JAMHURIYA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mike Grima to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Romeu Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Yusuf Okcun made the kick off in the second half. Khalida Rimitti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 52 played minutes Progress got a freekick which was hit by Sid Bencherif. Claudinei Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rachid Cherrad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Fuat Gök managed to get in a good position for a shot. JAMHURIYA's supporters rose to their feet, but Fuat Gök was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rachid Cherrad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinei Esteves took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rachid Cherrad. Rachid Cherrad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Progress's Rachid Cherrad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yusuf Okcun in the 69th minute of play. Fuat Gök scored 5-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rachid Cherrad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juninho Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Cherrad having to interfere. Rachid Cherrad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, Progress's Mohamed Ben Saïd-Guerni got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Fuat Gök got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fuat Gök recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Yusuf Okcun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. JAMHURIYA fully deserved thier win.
