Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Florentino Abancens started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Jean-Baptiste Ouyahia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Progress fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Rachid Cherrad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florentino Abancens in the 9th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as New Egypt AFC's Florentino Abancens slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rachid Cherrad. That made the score 1-1 after 11 minutes of play. 14 minutes into the match, Ahmed Merzekane had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rachid Cherrad. Progress's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ahmed Merzekane was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 20th match minute, Progress was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boughera Gaouaoui to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Florentino Abancens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Progress booed when New Egypt AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benamar Boumedienne didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Progress getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Mehdi Bensaoula hit a great ball. Hamid Brahimi hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Hamid Brahimi kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, New Egypt AFC's Florentino Abancens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rachid Cherrad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The New Egypt AFC fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when New Egypt AFC's Florentino Abancens looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 46th minute of the match, Florentino Abancens tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rachid Cherrad saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rachid Cherrad came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by New Egypt AFC's Florentino Abancens. But to his dismay, Florentino Abancens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1.

Jean-Baptiste Ouyahia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chakib El-Hadi having to interfere. If Florentino Abancens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute of the match New Egypt AFC got a corner. Progress's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amar Kerbouche ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Mansour Toumi to score against Rachid Cherrad in Progress's goal. 6-1 after 67 minutes. When Jean-Baptiste Ouyahia came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Progress fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Baptiste Ouyahia couldn't finish the play. After 89 played minutes Progress got a freekick which was hit by Bellemou Bouteflika. After 90 played minutes New Egypt AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Merzekane. A collision led to Progress getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Boughera Gaouaoui hit a great ball. New Egypt AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
