After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Noureddine Cohen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merrionette's supporters rose to their feet, but Noureddine Cohen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Farid Moussa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ismaël Cherrad kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Eskuin Izaguirre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 56 minutes, Zīn ud-Dīn Fadhil Mohamed mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merrionette and the TÜRK GÜCÜ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Merrionette was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zīn ud-Dīn Fadhil Mohamed to maneuver through the defense. TÜRK GÜCÜ's Nadir Chaouchi got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nadir Chaouchi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cheb Meniri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Merrionette lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
