Merrionette's Eskuin Izaguirre got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Merrionette was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djabir Ghozali to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute, Noureddine Cohen made a precise shot to the right of Sofiane El Ouafi. Coral Terrace's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jens-Ove Eliasson to make the kick off. Sofiane El Ouafi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rachid Yahia in the 52nd minute of the match. After 53 minutes of play Coral Terrace's Said Ghozali was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Coral Terrace getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Said Ghozali hit a great ball. Tedj Kouri hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Djamal Boumedienne made in the 67th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cheb Sofiane. After a rather tough play, Merrionette's Eskuin Izaguirre got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 73 played minutes Merrionette got a freekick which was hit by Eskuin Izaguirre. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coral Terrace's goalkeeper Sofiane El Ouafi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Merrionette's attentive Eskuin Izaguirre managed to snatch the ball when Adlène Reda Madouni made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. Noureddine Cohen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Sofiane El Ouafi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, Coral Terrace was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Madhi Yahia to maneuver through the defense. The Coral Terrace fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Merrionette were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
