In the 41st match minute, Zenit FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 韩锋昂 to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zenit FC's goalkeeper Brasil Taffarel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Zenit FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hocine Cixous ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Lewes's Hocine Cixous to fire away a dangerous shot which Brasil Taffarel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Liamine Badis hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When Abdelmalek Moussa came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Lewes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdelmalek Moussa couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the match, Lewes's goal looked a bit too open when Lawrence Jetzer came free, but Daho Yacef reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Lewes getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Farid El-Hadi hit a great ball. Brasil Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mouloud Fadela in the 83rd minute. Zenit FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
