Fawzi Hanin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lawrence Jetzer struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Cheb Hima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zenit FC. In the 16th minute Lawrence Jetzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cheb Hima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Farid Abdessalam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. King's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zenit FC the free kick. In the 17th minute, Farid Abdessalam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fawzi Hanin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cheb Hima having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 22 minutes into the game, when Mohamed Ben Camus put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of King:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Zenit FC:s goal. Cheb Hima went to the wrong direction when Lawrence Jetzer was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Cheb Hima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fawzi Hanin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th match minute, Zenit FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmed Rahouli to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, King's goal looked a bit too open when Lawrence Jetzer came free, but Cheb Hima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belaid Messaoud kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Farid Abdessalam hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samir Matmour made a kick off. Cheb Hima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lawrence Jetzer's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Samir Matmour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Brasil Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the game, Belaid Messaoud was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. King's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zenit FC the free kick. Belaid Messaoud kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Lawrence Jetzer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noureddine Ahmed recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to King getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Rafik Zéroual hit a great ball. Cheb Hima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawrence Jetzer in the 74th minute of the match. Cheb Hima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fawzi Hanin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. King's Samir Matmour got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boudjemaa Kerkar hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. King's Cheb Hima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fawzi Hanin in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute Fawzi Hanin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cheb Hima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zenit FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
