In the 24th minute of the match, Rachid Baba Ali Radjef tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kassel Sadmi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After the first half Evans FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mouloud Boulebda to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albert Djebbour got free with Cheb Daham in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Evans FC booed when Hartshorne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. The Evans FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
