Taliban FC's Kristián Pražan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Bonifaco in the 10th minute of play. Kristián Pražan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Bonifaco in the 13th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Taliban FC's Mahieddine Djeballi threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafa Arantes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Djabir Belmadi hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Rafa Arantes put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mahieddine Djeballi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Arantes in the 27th minute of play forced Junction City FC's goalkeeper Mahieddine Djeballi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Rafa Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mahieddine Djeballi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo Bonifaco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kristián Pražan having to make a save. Kristián Pražan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Bonifaco, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 41 played minutes Junction City FC got a freekick which was hit by Zachary Babb. Rafa Arantes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Mahieddine Djeballi made a huge save. If Zachary Babb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haroldo Bonifaco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Haroldo Bonifaco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Junction City FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taliban FC the free kick. In the 50th match minute, Junction City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Bonifaco to maneuver through the defense. 52 minutes into the match, Taliban FC's goalkeeper Kristián Pražan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haroldo Bonifaco. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Bonifaco in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Haroldo Bonifaco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kristián Pražan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Djabir Belmadi hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Taliban FC's Sid Assad was substituted for Rafa Arantes. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Junction City FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nordine Nasri was slow to take the kick. During this time Taliban FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Taliban FC's corner Nordine Nasri fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mahieddine Djeballi quite easily take care of the ball. Haroldo Bonifaco might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristián Pražan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haroldo Bonifaco ran back to his position shaking his head. Zachary Babb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Kristián Pražan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Junction City FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
