Tasos Mylonas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bendjedid Ben Bella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hocine Adjani came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Saugus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hocine Adjani couldn't finish the play. Paris Saint-Germain F.C's Tasos Mylonas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Soltani Ihidjaten in the 14th minute of play. After some careless play in the Paris Saint-Germain F.C defense, Soltani Ihidjaten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tasos Mylonas. The Paris Saint-Germain F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tasos Mylonas should have stopped the shot. In the 20th match minute, Paris Saint-Germain F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alain Bedjaoui to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Sandu Caloian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tasos Mylonas was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Tasos Mylonas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandu Caloian, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Saugus's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nassim Tahar in the 30th minute. The corner led Saugus's Nassim Tahar to fire away a dangerous shot which Tasos Mylonas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Paris Saint-Germain F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandu Caloian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Nasreddine Djahnine fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saugus's protests and gave Nasreddine Djahnine a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claude Wenderix in the 42nd minute of play forced Saugus's goalkeeper Adlène Cherrad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tasos Mylonas came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Saugus's Nasreddine Djahnine. But to his dismay, Nasreddine Djahnine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Tasos Mylonas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hocine Adjani went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sandu Caloian was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bendjedid Ben Bella in the 53rd minute of play forced Paris Saint-Germain F.C's goalkeeper Tasos Mylonas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salim Bougherra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Adlène Cherrad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paris Saint-Germain F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Sandu Caloian scored to the left of an out of position Tasos Mylonas, making the score, 0-6. 65 minutes into the game, Lounès Chaib was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paris Saint-Germain F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saugus the free kick. Tasos Mylonas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandu Caloian in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute Sandu Caloian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tasos Mylonas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nasreddine Djahnine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Lounès Chaib hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Sandu Caloian dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tasos Mylonas, 0-7. 88 minutes into the match, Paris Saint-Germain F.C's goalkeeper Tasos Mylonas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sandu Caloian. Tasos Mylonas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hocine Adjani in the 93rd minute of play. Sandu Caloian might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tasos Mylonas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sandu Caloian ran back to his position shaking his head. If Salim Bougherra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Saugus could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Paris Saint-Germain F.C throughout the match.
