In the 17th minute, Djabir Belmadi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rafa Arantes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Guillaume Laurent Mansouri skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rafa Arantess short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Guillaume Laurent Mansouri to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Rafa Arantes came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Taliban FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafa Arantes couldn't finish the play. Cezary Gniewek might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guillaume Laurent Mansouri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cezary Gniewek ran back to his position shaking his head. Guillaume Laurent Mansouri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rafa Arantes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 43 minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, River Falls FC's goalkeeper Guillaume Laurent Mansouri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafa Arantes. In the 47th minute, Taliban FC's Jussef Zerara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Guillaume Laurent Mansouri. Guillaume Laurent Mansouri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafa Arantes was the one to do the kick off. The River Falls FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guillaume Laurent Mansouri should have stopped the shot. Guillaume Laurent Mansouri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fodil Otman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Taliban FC had played much better football throughout.
