The audience thought a goal was coming when Reynaldo Yorgos got free with Manolo Salamanca in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 16 minutes, Marín Fontaine mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Loncopangue AFC and the Sotaqui FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Romualdo Aichele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22ndth minute of the game Romualdo Aichele who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Loncopangue AFC's Manolo Salamanca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute, Marín Fontaine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 30 in the game by Reynaldo Yorgos from a close distance when the talented Manolo Salamanca managed to make a qualified save. Loncopangue AFC's players were relieved. When Mark Sarfate fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Loncopangue AFC's protests and gave Mark Sarfate a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Sotaqui FC's Romualdo Aichele ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manolo Salamanca. Manolo Salamanca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Romualdo Aichele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Manolo Salamanca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romualdo Aichele might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manolo Salamanca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romualdo Aichele ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Loncopangue AFC's Manolo Salamanca got control of the ball when Reynaldo Yorgos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Loncopangue AFC's Florín Mofre got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

With a little luck, Sotaqui FC's Luis Eduardo Pulgar got control of the ball when Luis Javier Mogollon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Florín Mofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reynaldo Yorgos in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manolo Salamanca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luis Javier Mogollon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Loncopangue AFC's Manolo Salamanca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Yorgos in the 71st minute of play. Luis Eduardo Pulgar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florín Mofre in the 74th minute of the match. Romualdo Aichele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolo Salamanca having to interfere. Manolo Salamanca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romualdo Aichele, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute Romualdo Aichele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manolo Salamanca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marín Fontaine got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 87 minutes Loncopangue AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ysmael Caussade who took care of the corner kick. After 92 minutes of play, Sotaqui FC's Reynaldo Yorgos made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manolo Salamanca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sotaqui FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
