The referee ignored Cerveceros FC's protests and gave Omar Ossa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cerveceros FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Omar Ossa hit a great ball. Edmundo Marcoleta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Stefano Soffia came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the UNI-UNI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefano Soffia couldn't finish the play. Stefano Soffia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Pedro José Pontigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Edmundo Marcoleta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro José Pontigo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Edmundo Marcoleta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Rosselot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrián Apaulaza having to interfere. Pedro José Pontigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Marcoleta in the 35th minute of play. Cerveceros FC's Pedro José Pontigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Marcoleta in the 37th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Edmundo Marcoleta in the 39th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Pedro José Pontigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefano Soffia in the 41st minute of the match. Edmundo Marcoleta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aitor Calquín was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Tomás Barcelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UNI-UNI and the Cerveceros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes UNI-UNI got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Barcelo. UNI-UNI's Adrián Apaulaza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Rosselot in the 54th minute of play. Jose Maria Dell´Orto was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. If Aitor Calquín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Marcoleta struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Pedro José Pontigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UNI-UNI. After 70 played minutes UNI-UNI got a freekick which was hit by Enmanuel Arrau. After having played for 71 minutes, Aitor Calquín managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerveceros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aitor Calquín was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmundo Marcoleta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Pedro José Pontigo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cerveceros FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Pedro José Pontigo, was totally fooled by UNI-UNI's Xacobo Ubiergo, who 82 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Aitor Calquín fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrián Apaulaza having to interfere. After 87 played minutes UNI-UNI got a freekick which was hit by Stefano Soffia. Edmundo Marcoleta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro José Pontigo having to make a save. Stefano Soffia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 98th match minute, UNI-UNI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Jimenez to maneuver through the defense.
