When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Ismael Poyancos put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Adrián Apaulaza. 18 minutes into the match, Quinca's goal looked a bit too open when Stefano Soffia came free, but Amadeo Guamanga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrián Apaulaza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Ángel Pardo in the 21st minute of the match. Amadeo Guamanga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefano Soffia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the game, UNI-UNI's Edmundo Marcoleta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeo Guamanga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Rainerio Durand hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xacobo Ubiergo got free with Amadeo Guamanga in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmundo Marcoleta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Amadeo Guamanga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Haroldo Jimenez charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haroldo Jimenez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, Haroldo Jimenez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute Ismael Poyancos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrián Apaulaza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of UNI-UNI booed when Quinca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rainerio Durand didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Ismael Poyancos sped through UNI-UNI's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adrián Apaulaza. Ismael Poyancos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrián Apaulaza having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Leovigildo Anastassiou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UNI-UNI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quinca the free kick. After 60 played minutes UNI-UNI got a freekick which was hit by Leovigildo Anastassiou. In the 63rd minute, Edmundo Marcoleta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UNI-UNI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. If Miguel Ángel Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. UNI-UNI's Adrián Apaulaza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save UNI-UNI from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute, UNI-UNI's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Miguel Ángel Pardo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Ismael Poyancos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Ismael Poyancos sped through UNI-UNI's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adrián Apaulaza. When the match was over Quinca could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than UNI-UNI throughout the match.
