After a defensive mix-up in Machalí City FC's zone, Pere Cox stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Alfonso came out of the goal and Pere Cox tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Txomin Marshall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mark Baettig in the 12th minute. Urtsín Floto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Alfonso having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Urtsín Floto made a precise shot to the right of César Alfonso. Machalí City FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Machalí City FC's Tomás Urresti got a free kick in the 28th minute. Loreno Pereira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Txomin Marshall. Pupio FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
