Erik Campaña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ismael Nazario Colimán had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Nazario Colimán's late challenge caught a Quillen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ismael Nazario Colimán helped the player get up and apologised. Ismael Nazario Colimán hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Erik Campaña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sansón Almeyda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narcomillo Cuadra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erik Campaña having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Quillen FC's zone, Ismael Nazario Colimán stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Campaña came out of the goal and Ismael Nazario Colimán tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Machalí City FC's Narcomillo Cuadra in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Quillen FC's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle sounded Machalí City FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Quillen FC.
