Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pedegua's Xavián Boza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Narcomillo Cuadra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 5 played minutes Pedegua got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Peluchonneau. With a little luck, Pedegua's Laureano Bennet got control of the ball when Ismael Nazario Colimán tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute Xavián Boza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Alfonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mark Baettig fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Machalí City FC's protests and gave Mark Baettig a yellow card for diving instead. Ismael Nazario Colimán scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laureano Bennet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ismael Nazario Colimán who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Laureano Bennet when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ismael Nazario Colimán sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Pedegua's goalkeeper Laureano Bennet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sansón Almeyda. In the 28th minute Narcomillo Cuadra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Bennet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ismael Nazario Colimán came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Machalí City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Nazario Colimán couldn't finish the play. If Ismael Nazario Colimán had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute there was a penalty for Machalí City FC. Tomás Urresti stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Laureano Bennet. 2-0. Narcomillo Cuadra struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Laureano Bennet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Machalí City FC. After 42 played minutes Pedegua got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Peluchonneau. Ysmael Lauwerens's late challenge caught a Machalí City FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ysmael Lauwerens helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, Pedegua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ysmael Lauwerens to maneuver through the defense. Laureano Bennet was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tomás Urresti. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Narcomillo Cuadra to strike the kick off in the second half. Ismael Nazario Colimán fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Bennet having to interfere. Laureano Bennet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Nazario Colimán, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Narcomillo Cuadra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Bennet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Pedegua's goal looked a bit too open when Narcomillo Cuadra came free, but Laureano Bennet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Machalí City FC were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Pedegua's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomás Urresti took the corner. Machalí City FC's Tomás Urresti was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Laureano Bennet in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 69th match minute, Pedegua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ysmael Lauwerens to maneuver through the defense. Laureano Bennet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narcomillo Cuadra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 85 minutes, Narcomillo Cuadra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Machalí City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narcomillo Cuadra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Ismael Nazario Colimán got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Nazario Colimán in the 92nd minute of play forced Pedegua's goalkeeper Laureano Bennet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
