Monterei's Juan Fernando Patrickson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Monterei from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute, Ondino Parrini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Abner Torrejón notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Nikitiki's Justino Alcalde. Justino Alcalde was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nikitiki's Justino Alcalde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abner Torrejón in the 27th minute of play. Justino Alcalde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abner Torrejón's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After 35 played minutes, Monterei's Sergio Larrauna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Justino Alcalde came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monterei reached it. If Abner Torrejón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Abner Torrejón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Alcalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Siluna Soriano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monterei's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siluna Soriano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abner Torrejón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 53rd minute, Ismael Nazario Peirano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abner Torrejón struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Justino Alcalde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monterei. Javier Portolés kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. When Ondino Parrini fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nikitiki's protests and gave Ondino Parrini a yellow card for diving instead. Justino Alcalde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abner Torrejón in the 68th minute. When Siluna Soriano came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Monterei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siluna Soriano couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Siluna Soriano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justino Alcalde was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Nikitiki's zone, Abner Torrejón stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justino Alcalde came out of the goal and Abner Torrejón tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abner Torrejón recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mateo Benoit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The attack was good, but when Teobaldo Nicolau in the 80th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Wilson Javia hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Mateo Benoit scored 2-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Fernando Patrickson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teobaldo Nicolau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Juan Fernando Patrickson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siluna Soriano in the 92nd minute of play forced Nikitiki's goalkeeper Justino Alcalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abner Torrejón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Monterei players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nikitiki.
