If Estebano Sanabria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 5th minute, Francisco Javier Julio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Chanqueahue FC's zone, Estebano Sanabria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteban José Polanco came out of the goal and Estebano Sanabria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Carmais's Germán Sires sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esteban José Polanco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 21st play minutes Germán Sires shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Esteban José Polanco and just under the crossbar into goal. 25 minutes into the match, Carmais's goalkeeper Gervasio Acasuso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victoro Mahns. Esteban José Polanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Estebano Sanabria, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Edilberto Seraín fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Acasuso having to interfere. Gervasio Acasuso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edilberto Seraín in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Estebano Sanabria made the kick off in the second half. Edilberto Seraín recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Germán Sires kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Chanqueahue FC booed when Carmais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamín Labbé didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Chanqueahue FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Germán Sires fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estebano Sanabria in the 68th minute of play forced Chanqueahue FC's goalkeeper Esteban José Polanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Estebano Sanabria recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Esteban José Polanco. Estebano Sanabria showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. When Estebano Sanabria came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Carmais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Estebano Sanabria couldn't finish the play. Estebano Sanabria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edilberto Seraín fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Acasuso having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Edilberto Seraín cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gervasio Acasuso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Victoro Mahns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
