With a little luck, Ancla Naval's Mercurio Peede got control of the ball when Abundio Reynero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Justino Clavel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mercurio Peede having to interfere. After 9 played minutes desbancado got a freekick which was hit by Justino Clavel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Uriarte in the 12th minute of play forced desbancado's goalkeeper Vittorio Debono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justino Clavel struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Mercurio Peede didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for desbancado. The supporters of desbancado booed when Ancla Naval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Soudre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mercurio Peede showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kryspin Nowakowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A collision led to Ancla Naval getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Omar Soudre hit a great ball. Kryspin Nowakowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mercurio Peede having to make a save. With his leg Mercurio Peede managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when desbancado's Justino Clavel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 33 played minutes Ancla Naval got a freekick which was hit by Abdón Oyarce. Mercurio Peede took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kryspin Nowakowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Justino Clavel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mercurio Peede showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Clavel, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Unai Cauffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vittorio Debono having to interfere. When Justino Clavel came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the desbancado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justino Clavel couldn't finish the play. Kryspin Nowakowski scored 4-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mercurio Peede, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ancla Naval's Mercurio Peede played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimír Putin in the 65th minute of play. Abdón Oyarce kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Mercurio Peede stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justino Clavel's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 79th minute Kryspin Nowakowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mercurio Peede saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdón Oyarce got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Abdón Oyarce kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match Nestor Castelblanco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mercurio Peede skillfully saved the ball. In the 89th minute, Justino Clavel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The desbancado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Mercurio Peede made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kryspin Nowakowski in the 93rd minute of play. When the referee ended the match the desbancado players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
