But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Achurra couldn't finish the play. Mauro Oroeta struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Américo Pereda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Epic Club. Mauro Oroeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Pereda having to interfere. Adelmo Villela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Penschke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eleuterio Poklepovic's late challenge caught a Lalin AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eleuterio Poklepovic helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Epic Club's Eleuterio Poklepovic got a free kick in the 44th minute.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Epic Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lalin AFC.
