Pomuyeto's Horacio Schlegel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Pomuyeto from getting a goal against them. Hermenegildo Huneeus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Nahuel Canepa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Hermenegildo Huneeus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pomuyeto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tatara FC the free kick. After 10 played minutes Pomuyeto got a freekick which was hit by Hermenegildo Huneeus. 12 minutes into the game, Tatara FC's Pacífico Aguiar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horacio Schlegel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moisés Montane during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pacífico Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Schlegel having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Hermenegildo Huneeus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pomuyeto's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermenegildo Huneeus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nahuel Canepa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nahuel Canepa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermenegildo Huneeus, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Pacífico Aguiar might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horacio Schlegel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Salbatore Riveros's late challenge caught a Pomuyeto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salbatore Riveros helped the player get up and apologised. Salbatore Riveros kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vicens Malfanti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Tatara FC booed when Pomuyeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Redondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicens Malfanti took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horacio Schlegel. But to his dismay, Eleuterio Pozo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 99th minute Pacífico Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Schlegel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
