In the 34th minute, Alirio Justiniano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportes Ovalle fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Rosalio Quilempan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jon-Ander Lepe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Jon-Ander Lepe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodor Oyanedel to make the kick off. Silvio Robinson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pierre Silva showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 71 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Alirio Justiniano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvio Robinson was relentless in the 76th minute of the game.
